Amelia’s POV

I had no idea why, but it felt like home to me. Actually, that was untrue, I knew why I had immediately felt a sense of peace wash over me the moment I stepped into the room. I tried to lie to myself that it was the plush carpeting that felt like I was sinking my feet into sand or that it was the beautiful reading corner that made my body itch with excitement to use it and fingers tremble with the urge to hold a sweet-smelling book.

However, my lips curled themselves into a wry smile as I grudgingly admitted to myself that my strange comfort was not due to any of what I had listed or the other luxuries of the room or house, but…
