Chapter 40

Estelle POV

The car passed through the borders, and I looked through the window, feeling nostalgic. I spent years on this ground, sneaking away, training, and trying to have fun and be happy. Aurelian held my hand, rubbing it. I never really talked about my life in the pack, but what is there to talk about? I saw the pack members, familiar faces; they were curious: who is this coming into the pack with convoys? The cars were packed in front of the pack house, and I sighed.

“The pack is quite big,” Maven said. I nod my head. Well, we have land. The guards opened the door, and Maven came down first. I followed her, and Aurelian was next. I breathed in, taking in the familiar scent. I smiled.

“Perfect,” I mumbled. Aurelian held my hand, and we walked to the front. The gate opened, revealing Alpha, Bryan, Natalie, Felix the Gamma, and a girl whose name I didn’t know. They looked at me, and I could see the shock on their faces. I know they must have thought I was dead. I looked at Natalie,
