Chapter 71

Estelle POV

The breeze blew my hair roughly as I stood in a field. It looked like the one in the afterlife, but the difference was that this field felt more real; it didn’t feel dead; it felt like there were human beings here.

“Where am I?” I asked myself, trying to tame my wild hair. I can’t even remember when last I let my hair down and free; my hair these days has been decorated with pins and rubber. But now my hair is down and wild, I wore a white silky gown. The material was thin, allowing the cold air to enter my skin. I shuddered, rubbing my hands together. Where am I? Where is this place? What am I doing here? I asked myself as I turned around in the empty field. There were people here; I could feel them, but I couldn’t see them.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Everything was in a tranquil as I tuned down the sound of the heavy breeze. I listened to the little sounds and the heartbeats of people around me. Their footsteps as they moved.
