Lola sighed again for the nth time."Is everything alright?", her boyfriend Chad asked her, looking at her with concern written all over his face."Yeah, yeah everything is fine", Lola answered."Are you sure? Because you have been sighing non stop since we got here", Chad pointed out."No, it's nothing. It's just the stress from work, you know", Lola told him."Why? Is your boss giving you trouble?", Chad asked her."No, no. Adr... Mr. Alvarez", Lola corrected herself."Mr. Alvarez is good", Lola assured him."Well if you insist. But I always said you work too hard. Relax from time to time, maybe even take a leave from work one of these days, we could do something together", Chad suggested."No, I don't think that is going to work. Mr. Alvarez needs me to coordinate most of his schedule, what would he do if I take a leave from work? Who would coordinate his schedule?'' Lola asked out of habit."So? I'm sure he will be able to manage just fine on his own for a few days", Chad answered.
"Dude!! You slept with your secretary?", Omar asked loudly."Shhh... Keep your voice down", Adriel shushed him."What happened to 'No mixing business with pleasure'? How could you sleep with your secretary?", Omar asked him."It was a mistake", Adriel answered."I was drunk. I thought she was....", Adriel began to explain but then stopped himself abruptly."What? You thought she was what?", Omar asked."Nothing, never mind. Just know it was not intentional", Adriel answered."Wow", Omar breathed."So you went out with Allison Tarmani, got rejected, got drunk, had a one night stand with your secretary, is that about right?", Omar asked him."Yeah", Adriel nodded."Woah, so what are you going to do?", Omar asked him."About Miss Garcia I mean, are you going to fire her?", Omar asked him."I don't know", Adriel answered truthfully."Miss Garcia has been working with me for a long time now. She is the most efficient secretary I have worked with who was also not trying hard to seduce me",
Adriel looked at his time on his watch, 9:10 am. Lola would be here soon, or would she? It had crossed Adriel's mind that Lola might decide not to come in to work today. Adriel prayed she would, he did not want to lose a personal secretary as efficient as Lola. There was a knock on his door. Adriel looked up sharply then looked at his watch, 9:15 am. Just on time, Adriel thought to himself."Come in", Adriel said and sure enough, Miss Garcia came into the office. She walked briskly towards him and for the first time, Adriel paid attention to her. He watched her as she walked towards him with slow yet steadied steps. He had never taken note of her legs before but today as she walked towards him, he did. Miss Garcia had fine, long legs, the skirt she was wearing did so much to accentuate that. He let his eyes roam a little bit upwards, her waist was slender like one of those models, her hips moderate, creating a little curve in her pencil skirt. His eyes roamed a little further up and
Adriel drove into the estate and pulled up in front of one of the houses. It was a very luxurious estate. He parked in the driveway of the house and got out of the car. He walked up the pavement of the house, towards the door. On reaching the door, Adriel punched in a string of numbers on the keypad and the keypad made a sound signifying that the door had been unlocked. Adriel opened the door and walked into the house."Omar?! Omar?!", Adriel called as he walked into the house. He walked into the living room and saw Omar entangled with a girl on the sofa. They were in each other's arms kissing and were both surprised by him.The girl quickly disentangled from Omar and moved a little bit away from him as she arranged her dress."Adriel, hey, why didn't you tell me you were coming over?", Omar asked as he regained his composure."Since when did I need to tell you I was coming over?", Adriel smirked at him.Omar chuckled.
Camille looked up at Chad and blinked confusedly."I don't understand," Camille confessed."I'm worried about her. I was at her place yesterday and she seemed distant", Chad told Camille."Oh", was all Camille said as she went back to sipping her drink."Do you know if anything bothered her?", Chad asked Camille."Did something happen?", he asked and Camille nearly choked on her drink."Cough... Cough", she sputtered."Careful, are you alright?", Chad asked her."Yeah, yes, I'm fine", Camille said and waved her hand at him, gesturing to him not to worry.Chad called a waiter over and asked for a napkin. The waiter soon came back with the napkin and Camille took it from Chad, gesturing that she could do it by herself. Camille cleaned up the drops of drink she had sputtered on the table and had the waiter return the napkin."Why would you think that something would happen with Lola?", C
"Camille you are drunk", Chad said."I told you to slow down, come on, let's get you home", Chad said as he made an attempt to reach for her again but Camille shook him off once again."No! I said I want to talk. Why won't you let me talk?", Camille asked drunkenly."You are drunk Camille, you are speaking nonsense", Chad answered."Is everything alright here?", Charlie asked as he circled over to them."Yeah, she's just drunk", Chad told him."Oh", Charlie nodded as he looked at Camille."Will you be alright with her?", Charlie asked Chad."Yeah, we'll be fine", Chad nodded."No need to worry", he told Charlie who nodded and patted him on the back before leaving them."Alright, Camille, come, let's go home", Chad said and advanced towards her again but Camille scooted away from him.Chad sighed and massaged his temples."Camille, come on, stop this. I'm too tired fo
Lola blinked in surprise and her beat accelerated.'Why was Chad asking about her boss again?', she asked herself.'And what did he say about going to Charlie's with Camille?', Lola asked herself. If they had gone to Charlie's together, did that mean they had had a drink together? Had Camille told him something?Lola wondered. Lola's mind began to work overtime. She glanced at Chad, he was staring at her piercingly. Lola didn't know what to answer and how to answer. She shifted uneasily. "Why are you asking about my boss all of a sudden?", Lola asked Chad."I just want to know", Chad answered expressionlessly, his eyes still on her."Yes, but why?", Lola asked again, trying to press on him, hoping that she was just being paranoid."Why?", Chad asked her."Can't I ask about him anymore? Are you suddenly very protective of him?", Chad asked her, his tone hardening as he stood up from the sofa a
Adriel looked at the time on his watch, it was 9:20 am. He sighed and glanced up at the door to his face. What was wrong? It was already 9:20 am and Miss Garcia had not yet arrived. She had not come in to give him his coffee or a run down of his schedule for the day.'Maybe she's just running late', Adriel told himself and bent his head over his work again.15 minutes later, Adriel glanced at his watch again, it was now 9:45 am and Miss Garcia had still not come in. If she was running late then she was really running late now and Adriel found this strange. In all the years they had been working together, Miss Garcia had rarely been late, punctuality was her strong suit. She was always on time so what was happening today? Adriel began to feel a sneaking suspicion that it was because of what happened but that didn't make any sense either. Why would she come in to work yesterday but didn't come in today? And besides he thought he had cleared thi
