Ian froze wide-eyed. Russell looked at me. He lifted his hand to manipulate him. I held back his hand.

“What are you doing? He is my cousin, don’t hurt him,” I begged.

“I’m leaving, sort him out,” Russell said, pecked me on the forehead, and disappeared. How he disappeared shook Ian off balance.

“Come on, Ian!” I said, standing up and taking a step toward him. “Why are you so shocked?” I asked. He blinked severally and rubbed his eyes to make sure he saw right.

“Who the hell was that, Muriel? Who is he? Don’t even try to tell me you are cheating on the Alpha with that man. Do you think he is normal? Have you ever seen a man as good-looking as him before? Don’t you think something must be fishy with him? What has come over you, Muriel?
