HEARTBREAK

Gerald was deep in thought, trying to finish up work and at the same time trying to conclude on what to do when his phone rang. He reached out for his phone and answered the call. Tom's voice came through the line in a rushed and urgent tone, startling Gerald, "Gerald! You have to break up with Hazel right now! I don't know why you are delaying it. You must do that right away because I need to be with Hazel this lunch."

Gerald's heart raced as he listened to Tom's words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He wanted to speak but words weren't coming out.

"Gerald, are you there? You need to go find Hazel right now and tell her it's over between you two. I can't keep this secret anymore."
