CHAPTER 45

RUBY’S POV

“Have fun on your date!” Clarissa snickered as I wore my earrings and I shot her a glare through the mirror while she lay on my bed.

Sally left for school almost two hours ago so it was just the two of us in the house and I was preparing for my date with Arnold after we agreed on a time and place to meet.

“What? You said Arnold is so sweet” she tried to mimic me playfully and I flung a lipstick at her to shut her up but missed and she laughed at me.

“Shut up Clarissa. It's just a date, nothing else and I didn't say that” I told her and she made a face at me before she lay back in the bed.

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say” she replied, rolling her eyes and I ignored her as I took a brush to brush through my hair a little.

Soon I was done and I took one last look at myself in the mirror. I wore a brown-colored long-sleeved high-waisted dress with a pair of black loafers and took a black handbag to pair the colors.
