CHAPTER 46

DAX’S POV

I had never seen Ruby get that mad at me before. When we were dating eight years ago and even when I followed her all the way to Denmark and told her that I wanted her back, she never got that angry.

That was what made me know that I had fucked up again and would have to make it up to her so she wouldn't stay mad at me for a long time. I couldn't afford to let her ask for space again.

As I watched her walk away with rapid angry steps, there were two things I had in mind. First was to get Arnold Fusser out of the picture then apologize to her for having her watched but for the moment, I felt uneasy knowing that just as Simon predicted, she was going out on a date with Arnold.

Quickly, I turned and headed for my house and Simon was at the bar when I walked in. He turned around to face me and nodded toward the door when he saw I wasn't looking so pleased.
