Kieran drove on the tarred road for a while before he turned to some forest path, and that was when I began losing consciousness. I tried pretty hard to keep my eyes open, but it was all in vain. I could hear when the car came to a halt and he opened his door, closed it back, and came around to my side. He opened the door and lifted me gently in his arms. He placed me on a bed, and I rolled on the side before dozing off.I opened my eyes the next morning, and I couldn't figure out where I was; the room was unfamiliar. I turned to the right to see Kieran sitting on the chair and placing his head on the bed as he slept so soundly. MACE POVIt has been hell since Tilda left. I was but a shadow of my old self, looking for new ways to satiate my hunger. I buried myself neck deep in work, forgetting what it feels like to be with a woman. I find other ladies throwing themselves at me repulsive. I had been on a hunt for the past two weeks. Trying to avoid the thought of Tilda creeping in, I swore to find the bastard that cost me my joy.
