Emma.

“You're gonna regret that.”

His voice was dangerously low. The roughness was evident against his steel tone. His face held indescribable gravity, pulling me down to an endless depth.

“I-I…” My body shook just as he was about to reach me with his large hands.

Jax roughly strangled me in his grasp, raising me to my feet that barely touched the tiled floor. I choked, my voice straining.

“Now I remember why you always seemed to piss me off.” He muttered into my face, his hot breath blowing across my skin.

“P-please…” I coughed, my hands holding his grip with eyes pleading with another round of tears threatening to spill.

His expression darkened as I awaited his next move.

The buzzing of his ringing phone stopped his actions, making him scowl at me before he dug his free palm into the side pocket of his pants.

“Hello?” He groaned angrily, pinning his eyes on me.

There was silence, his face crinkling before he gritted his teeth and furrowed his thick brows.
