Moments before the incident…

Our duties for today were finally finished. I had made sure to put Grandpa Amos to sleep, and Alice wasn’t around because she escorted the twins to their friends’ houses. So basically, I was alone in the room doing nothing.

I swear, I’m literally bored without her.

The room was awfully quiet. Just listening to the sounds of the fresh afternoon breeze blowing into the small room from the tiny window felt exceedingly calm. I hope Sofia was okay, I wished there was a way I could visit her.

Pfft. I’m sure she’s missing me.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Who could be knocking? Is Alice back?

“Come in!” I raised my tone enough for the person to hear.

Diana opened the door with a nervous expression. She lowered her head slightly, looking as edgy as ever.

“Uh hey? What’s up? Weird that you suddenly visited.” I said, scanning her.

“No, I’m not here to visit, haha. Anyways, Miss Dorota said I should call you outside. She needs to speak to you and just a heads up, She’s
