Moments before the incident…

Our duties for today were finally finished. I had made sure to put Grandpa Amos to sleep, and Alice wasn’t around because she escorted the twins to their friends’ houses. So basically, I was alone in the room doing nothing.

I swear, I’m literally bored without her.

The room was awfully quiet. Just listening to the sounds of the fresh afternoon breeze blowing into the small room from the tiny window felt exceedingly calm. I hope Sofia was okay, I wished there was a way I could visit her.

Pfft. I’m sure she’s missing me.

“Come in!” I raised my tone enough for the person to hear.
