Chapter 5.

Emma.

I was hereby forced to make his coffee every morning.

Surprisingly, Jax didn't have a problem with the taste. He would have a satisfied look whenever he tasted it. But what surprised me the most was the way his eyes would just scan my whole figure whenever I came into his room.

He would drink the coffee as his eyes bore into my figure making his face look more...more... I don't know. It's hard to explain.

I wondered if it was because of the maid dress being kind of revealing but I just shrugged it off since he never commented on it. The mornings were all the same.

I would greet him to which he responded bluntly but that was it. I promised myself I wasn't gonna answer him because if I did, I know I'll be risking my pay.

Last night, I contacted Sophie and told her I was doing well. I didn't bother to mention the part of Dorota smacking me in the face or Jax, my high school bully being my boss.

I really didn't want to worry her.

Come to think of it, miss Dorota has been acting really weird towards me. Whenever she saw me, she'll always assign me to small duties and tasks that looked like I was giving special treatment.

Wasn't I the girl you wanted to beat the hell out of? Where did the enormity disappear to?

Although, the only person I told about these encounters was Alice. She had a big mouth but she was someone that could keep your secrets well hidden, so apparently, I trusted her.

She was like the only real friend I had and her main duty was getting the twins, Cara and Craig ready for school. They were still in grade 9 and looked nothing like Jax so I figured maybe they were adopted.

I was currently making the 11th coffee to serve Jax. He has really been getting on my nerves. Right after I served his coffee, he would get ready for work. A driver named Michael would come every morning to pick him up.

From what I found out, he was known to be one of the sexiest, youngest, and richest billionaires in the world. He has had various women, taking them in all forms. He was the main deal and was even termed, ‘Every girl’s dream’.

I feel like I would puke. He would never be my dream, and if he was, I would wake the fuck up!

If only they knew what he did to people in his high school days, they'd immediately change their minds about him.

Never knew the school’s jock turned out to be such a big person. I on the other hand, who never got a C in their test ends up working as a maid. Oh come on, Life isn't fair. It's just not.

Jax was ominous, manipulative, and powerful. He could take down anyone who dared to cross his path. In his mind, he saw some people as low lives and felt like he could bully them because he felt they were worthless. At least that what I could remember in his 18-year-old mentality.

I was one of his victims. No, his main victim.

Till now, I don't still know what I did to get on his bad side but I have really suffered in his petty hands.

I knocked swiftly on his door the moment I arrived. He said to come in before I walked in. He was adjusting the navy blue suit that hugged attractively around his body.

But like they always say, go for a pretty personality, not a pretty face.

This was the first time he wasn't in bed whenever I walked in to bring his coffee. He stood tall as he adored himself in front of the mirror before his gaze shifted to me.

“Good morning, sir. Here’s your coffee.”I bowed before handing it to him. He had his hair neatly styled with his skin all shiny plus the cologne that choked my lungs but it had a good smell. He was about to collect it when my hands released from the cup too early, making the hot liquid pour all over his hand, nearly touching his suit.

He hissed, making me gasp as I widened my eyes at how I mistakenly burned his hand.

“I-I… I'm so sorry sir, please follow me to the bathroom.”

I pulled him into his pure white bathroom that was sparkling clean. We went over to the sink before I put his hand over the cool running water.

“I-I didn't know… I swear I didn't.”My hands were shaking, still holding his hand under the water.

My heart escalated when I turned my face to look at him already staring at me, his dark eyes captivating me in a bowl of fantasy.

It was then I realized how close we were, the proximity sending goosebumps all over my skin.

For a second there, I was lost in his eyes. Why was he looking at me so intensely? Like he wanted me.

Why were his eyes so alluring? It made me weak in the knees.

I released a shaky breath before I released him and stepped back.

“J-Jax... I..! I mean, Sir, I didn't mean to pour-...”

Before I could finish my sentence, Jax had me pinned up to the wall by my right hand, my hair falling from the loose bun by the clash with his frame lingering over me.

I gasped at the sudden action, looking into his eyes again.

“You thought I wouldn't remember,” he whispered deeply.

“What are you-?”I struggled.

Emma Addison…

He called my name and the only thing I could think of was he remembered me from the beginning.

Oh God.
