I was on my way to trash the bin. My last duty for this morning. It has been a day since the young Master arrived and Marrissa has been surprisingly quiet, or more like I kept hiding from her.

Since yesterday, maids have been throwing glares at me from each corner and space of this building. At first, I thought it was just a normal look but you could definitely tell that there was a little emotion there, an emotion I'd call envy.

Even Miss Dorota always frowned whenever I was in her presence, digging her dull eyes into my soul.

It made me think maybe I had something on my face or my outfit wasn't properly worn.

They were all staring because the young Master paid attention to me which he had never done to any maid in the history of the Kochs’ household. I was the first maid he had ever stayed with or stared at for that long, according to Alice.
