“I have been informed that the young master won't be back today, I expect all of you to be on good behavior, and endeavor to keep the mansion clean and no trail of dust or dirt should be spotted by me or the Family, Have I made myself clear?” Miss Dorota chimed, her hands behind her back as she made an order.

“Yes, ma!” We all responded. Every morning, meetings are always held in the passage of the maid’s region. Miss Dorota’s room was the top room by the far veneer of the building. There were a couple of times when she slept in so it was just left for us to attend to our duties because no one had a sane mind of their own to wake that old wench.

My new duty, since I'm no longer under inspection, was to serve the young Master’s coffee, attend to grandpa Amos’ morning, afternoon, and evening routine, Tidy the dining and living room areas, and last but not the least, trash the bin. I'm actually satisfied with my work, thank God I'm not cleaning anyone's room or bathroom.
