"Who was at the door?"

It took me a while to make up excuses for my mother, so I didn't have to deal with her cursing me out.

Oh no, she wouldn't stop at cursing. She would make sure this time I would be gone for good. She had kept me around all this time because she needed someone to take care of the house and her, but I'm sure she was dying to get rid of me.

I never understood why. Why did she hate me so much? What did I do to deserve the way she treats me?

These questions I had asked her for years but never got a clear answer.
