Chapter 11

William walked up close to Sophia, his eyes narrowing as he studied her face. He could feel the tension in her body as he gripped her arm tightly, causing her to wince in pain.

"Or... wait," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Is there something you're hiding from me? Or you want to go elsewhere?"

Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she felt William's grip tighten even further. She knew that he was suspicious of her intentions, and she didn't want to give him any reason to doubt her.

"N-no, William," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just... I just wanted to spend some time with my sister."

William's eyes flashed with anger as he pulled her closer to him, his grip becoming even more painful.

"Don't lie to me, Sophia," he growled. "I know when you're hiding something from me.

Why don't you want me coming with you?"
