The next morning at the dining table, I flinched a little when the spoon touched my lips with such a sharpness it sent sparks through me. Tyler noticed and asked me, "What happened?"

I gave a stare at him and said, "Because of you."

"What did I do now?"

I pointed at my lips and said, "It got bruised when you fell on me last night."

He chuckled and said, "Sorry about that. But that was absolutely unintentional!"

"That's what you say, but don't think this will happen again." I glared at him. He smiled back and said, "You're so mean."

I ignored him and continued eating the food.

After a few seconds, he asked, "Are you prepared for tomorrow?"

"Prepared for what?"

"For the school. Tomorrow's your first day of school."

"Oh god. Is that really necessary? Can't I just stay home and study?"
