44. Coincidence

Angeline handed her a big black paper bag, even though she was already carrying two.

The Luna did it with a sweet smile on her lips, like a big sister asking a favor of her little sister. They had been walking for so long, Kiara was starting to feel her legs aching, but Luna Angeline and Madam Macaine still didn't seem to have gotten the items they wanted.

They were in one of the shopping centers in Guivor, not one that their family owned. Macaine wanted to go to a new place, Kiara thought she wouldn't take her there since Alpha Dave hadn't said she had to, but the woman did anyway.

"You don't look quite satisfied with the boots, Angelina?"

She only gave a faint smile on her lips as she replied, her voice thick with disappointment: "They're not the same color I wanted, mother. My mom gave them to me when I was seven, I just wanted the same ones."

"The clerks said the one you wanted will arrive from Arathei next week." Macaine paused for a moment, "that's a bit long."
