Alvin kept turning on his bed because his mind wasn't at rest at all. He had a lot going on in his life—and just closing his eyes made him see his problems and automatically decide that they can never be a permanent solution to them.

Nora's face suddenly popped into his memory and he shut his eyes immediately. He couldn't stop thinking about her and wondering what she thought about him. He had stopped her from going home not just because it was dark but because he didn't want to risk the possibility of her being seen by his father.

Alvin was sure his father could decide to kill her silently and sweep it under the chair—and there was no way he would know about it since it'll be very unlikely and absurd for them to “coincidentally” meet again.

But still, Alvin couldn't think of any more excuses to give her when it was morning. There was no way he could continue to keep her in his sight and refuse to let her go—that was completely imposs
