Who's Raven?

Author's POV

The stench of burning cigarettes woke Nora up. She squinted her eyes and was in the process of using her hands to rub them when she discovered it was tied to a chair. Again!

Nora began to panic. She wasn't in a dark black room now. The room she was in had sunshine coming in through an open window, and it was medium in size and smelt normal—not like the last one she'd been in.

She looked below her and saw she was still wearing the red gown. Her purse wasn't in the room, though. And so was Alvin.

Did they take him to a different room? Nora wondered.

But that was definitely not the right thing to worry about now. Alvin could fend for himself. The only thing that scared Nora was that she wasn't sure if it was Darkie that abducted her this time—it might really be Raven.

The hair on her flesh rose at the thought, and she felt chills on her skin. If eventually it turned out to be Raven who had come for her this time, he most certainly wouldn't spare Alvin.
