ARIA POVMarcus came in and took a picture of me before rushing off again. I tried to go after him, but Timothy locked the door after him. I had to stay there for about three hours alone with my thoughts. I tried speaking with Timothy, but he wouldn't respond. I remember apologizing to him countless times that day. I knew he was still there and was listening to me; he didn't respond, though. I decided it was his right to be angry and annoyed. He was grieving, after all. I knew how he left, so I should be more understanding. I sat on the floor, rested my back on the door, and stood still like that until I smelled a familiar scent coming my way. It's one of the scents I detest, and it wasn't Marcus. I quickly stood up and looked around for where I could hide. I wanted to kill Alpha Matthias, but not defenseless like this; I knew he was much stronger than me and would kill me in a heartbeat. I cannot fight a losing fight; I have a father to avenge. The space was empty; it seeme
I waited impatiently, but nothing happened; I was sure he would have gotten to us by then and had bitten me, but nothing happened. I smelled another familiar scent in the two; no, it was two different scents. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Alpha Matthias frozen there with his mouth wide open and his eyes filled with shock. I looked above him and found Killian holding his tail back. I looked beside me and found Darius, in his wolf form, glaring at Alpha Matthias. When did they get there? Relief washed over me; seeing them by my side was reassurance that I wouldn't die here today. "You're here!" I shouted excitedly. Timothy collapsed behind me at the moment, and I rushed to his side. I shook him, trying to wake him up, but he didn't budge. He was still breathing, so that was a relief. I was sure he passed out because of exhaustion from the fight. He had broken a lot of bones, and he needed time to heal. Darius walked towards me and nudged me with his head, "Are you okay?" He aske
ARIA POVIt was already dark when we left, and we arrived at the castle in the middle of the night. The weather was freezing, and I carried myself inside with the sheet covering my naked body. I headed to my room while Killian carried Timothy away. Once in my room, I was again left alone with my thoughts. I sighed and walked over to my bed. It was a long and exhausting day. If someone had told me that day would have been like that, I would have argued because of the way each day had been uneventful except for the bickers I had with Marcus. Speaking of Marcus, I wondered why he did that. Did he leave me there to die, or was it his plan to get them there or… I sighed again; I didn't know what to think about him. Ever since I met him, he's been messing with my brain, making decisions that had me question everything he does. I wanted to hate him for all that he had done to me, but I just couldn't; my stupid heart just couldn't let me do it. He was walking around with the same fac
DARIUS POVKillian was the first to leave Marcus' room, but I stayed behind, waiting for us to be alone. My expression drew darker as soon as the door shut behind him."What would you have done?"I asked Marcus. "Hmm?" He raised a brow, and his nose wrinkled. "What are you talking about now?" He complained. "If Alpha Matthias had done anything to Aria, what would you have done?" I repeated. He paused, bit his lower lip, then ran a hand through his hair, "Nothing would have happened to her. He wouldn't have killed her, at least." "But you don't know how that man is!" I shouted at him, "You know I'm not playing when I say I would have killed you as well if anything happened to her." I threatened. My eyes drew darker, and a growl escaped from the back of my neck; he growled at me as well, "I won't warn you again; stay away from Aria; don't even try to get to know her. I will not watch her suffer by your hands anymore." "Even thinking about what could have happened to her makes me ma
MARCUS POVThe pass over of the Alpha duties was taking longer than I wanted, and it was getting boring. These were the kind of things Killian specialized on and loved. I loved taking care of official duties and paperworks, making sure everything is recorded and according to protocol. He must read through everything and I was just not like that. I rather have our secretary do those things. He was trustworthy enough and if he dares to betray me, he knows I'll just rip his heart out so he wouldn't dare think of it. I was in the meeting but I and Darius were in hiding, listening in the conversation behind some shelves, we were completely drenched in pepper water so our scent wouldn't be picked up. "Darius, I'm getting out of here." I told him then adjusted the mask on my face, "This meeting is too boring and draining the life out of me." I complained then walked out. Everyone was shocked to see me. "Who are you and why are you coming out of there?" One of the questioned."Umm… he's
ARIA POV"I only wanted to say thank you." I shouted at him. "Well I don't need it." He shouted back. "Understood." "Good." With that, he turned and walked away.I went to look for Killian then told him what happened. He was furious and asked me to show him where the body was. I took him to late Alpha Carrington's body. Killian growled at it before turning to me, "Are you sure you're okay? Did that bastard do anything to you? Did he touch you?!" Killian asked whilst searching my body for any injury with his hands and eyes. "I'm okay." I assured him. "Stop being so worried, he's already dead." "You're right. It's a good thing he's dead but I wished I was the one who ended his life. It would have helped relief the anger I'm feeling right now." Killian said, his nose flared up as he spoke, he cleanched his fists, making his veins to protrude from his muscles. It was obvious he was very enraged. "Killian, stop being so upset." I tried persuading him. I grabbed his arm and squeezed
ARIA POV"No, no, no, no!" I shook my head. I cannot redress myself again. I have to resist. I painfully tore my eyes away and looked at the ceiling. "I can't. I can't sit for another three hours just to dress up!"Killian laughed at me, "By the way, why are you dressed so fancy? Are you going somewhere?" He questioned and I rolled my eyes at him but made sure not to meet his eyes or his hard chest or hard dick. "Now you ask? Well we have to go somewhere." I answered. "Where?" Killian raised a brow and a corner of his lip."The garden. That's as far as I'm telling you. The rest is a surprise!" I answered excitedly."Well… it's not much of a surprise if I'm expecting it, isn't it?" "Well, you're the one who asked!" I shouted. I pouted and crossed my hands under my breast. "Still, you could have kept your lips sealed and probably wouldn't have said, it's a surprise…" he shrugged. "You know, just my opinion." I heard he began to walk towards me. "Your opinion sucks!" I stocked out m
MARCUS POVAfter dealing with my newly acquired pack's Beta, I went to analyze their army. They weren't much like my birth pack but together, they'll be invincible. If I acquire more packs and secure their troops, I can take over the entire werewolf realm and no one will be able to stop me. The idea was tempting but I'm very sure my brothers will kick against it. Party poopers. I went back home after two days and saw Darius and Killian fighting over who Aria should be with. Darius argued that since he'll be away soon and Killian will stay to take care of the paperworks, he should get to be with her longer but Killian argued that that was the only time he has a chance cause he's also busy. Aria had to come up with a way to solve the issue, scheduling their times with her so it's equal and fair.On a tiring hot afternoon, I returned and found out Darius wasn't around but just Killian. I decided to go see him only to hear him fucking Aria. I heard their voices from the hallway even b
