ALEXIS' POV

Before evening, the Luna ordered the chauffeur to escort me to our house and help pack the personal belongings of grandma Rivera and I. After we finish packing up, I ask him to wait for me outside the house while I take a few minutes to take a final look at the apartment before I would come join him again. The chauffeur was surprisingly understanding and allowed me to take my time.

Now left alone in the house, I stroll around the almost empty room and scan the entire room with my eyes. This is the place I have been raised since I was a child. I have known no other home apart from this place, close to grandma Rivera. I had always looked forward to the day we would finally leave this house but now that the day is here, I feel surprisingly attached to it and it feels as if I am letting an old friend go.
