Chapter 29

Hazel's POV

I was so happy to be so high in the air. I felt like I was flying. I felt free.

In the corner of my eye, however, I saw Logan. I gulped in fear. I watched him as he walked a way with a sour look on his face. It spelt trouble for me.

Jasper was unaware of what was going on. He was too happy about winning the game. I was happy for him too. I knew he deserved a spot on the team, even more than Logan. He took me by my hand and pulled me away. We walked happly off the pitch and to the changing rooms. He was covered in dirt and gime and was in desperate need of a shower.

"Hazel, you sit here while I change. I'll be out in a minute."

He smiled at me and I felt colour come to my cheeks as I blushed. He disappeared into the changing room and I sat outside all alone. The thought of the look on Logan's face crossed my mind again. He looked like he was going to devour me if I came home. I could feel my fingers trembling at the mere thought of what he could do to me. It was a bad idea t
