Killian's POV

As we entered the building, I realized it was a well furnished one. But a burning question dropped in my mind - why was this great building in the middle of the woods? Who built them? Did the builders have to walk miles before doing their daily job?

But the rumination was short-lived as Jade nudged me and I came back to reverie. I sighted the magician and he had all these chains bound to his neck with some big books on the shelves and across the living room, and the rest of his rooms.

I saw lanterns and some olden equipments places at the corridor and the hallway. The fact remained true - he was trying to hide his identity from any nearby person. The front of his house wasn't painted or furnished well but the inside spoke volumes.

Certainly, he didn't want any rogue to locate the building but rogues weren't the ones to mind a great building or a dilapidated one. I wasn't the only one thinking this way, as Jade nudged me again and spoke a few words to my ears.
