Rebecca’s POVIt’s time for them to leave and Malcom has his truck to go get Nancy’s things. Isaac and Sam help hook up the trailer we used for my stuff.“‘Are you sure?” Daddy asks me. He has asked twenty times since breakfast.“Daddy, Mom had to defend herself from more than a few pack members because of you, don’t act all innocent. Didn’t you bring a date to the party you met mom at? The same party where I was conceived in a coat closet?” I watch him squirm. “Sam and I will be fine. Now release me and Nancy.”He smiles, “I already did, you belong to Blue Mountain now.”“Thanks, Daddy!” I hug him tight. “It will be okay. Nothing is ever perfect.”“We have training sweetheart,” Ike tells me after everyone is gone and it just the three of us. “Do you want to join us?”“How many of Sam’s conquests will be there?” I ask. Sam looks down. I can be snarkier now that it’s just us, and honestly, I’m in the mood to go full on Bitch! Like put Monica to shame Bitch Mode.“Every pack member he h
Isaac’s POV We worked out for a couple of hours. She and Augusta got in a great sparing session. Virginia offered to spar with her, but I said no, she should train with a warrior before a Beta. In all honesty, I was concerned My Luna would kill my Beta. I need a good Beta, and her brother is not a good substitute. At the pack meeting, several new mates are introduced to the pack. Nancy and Malcom showed a little tension that wasn’t there this morning. Something must have happened. “And I want to introduce my newest daughter,” Dad announces. The pack stares at mom and mummers that she is pregnant again. “No, Luna is not pregnant. Isaac and Samson have found their fated mate. Rebecca comes to us from Green Creek, where she is the Alpha’s Daughter. I owe Alpha Jackson, her father, my life. It was he who trained me for challenge I won over twenty years ago. Allow me to introduce Future Luna Rebecca.” My mate was pose and grace, as she stood between us smiling. “I’m ready to go home,
Rebecca’s POV Isaac orbs away from where we were making out and I turn back to my friends. “How did you two get inside?” I asked. “They never lock the door, who would be dumb enough to break into the Alpha House?” Augusta asks. “Malcom feeling better?” I ask Nancy. “It took a little coaxing, but I think he gets I’m not one of those Alpha chasers. He was afraid I would reject him if Max gave me half a signal that he wanted me as Luna.” I busted out laughing. “You a Luna, oh I’d pay to see that.” Nancy busted out laughing as well. “I know right?” Augusta seemed to enjoy our joke too. “You are perfect for my brother, I’m glad he found you.” Augusta smiles. “So, coffee?” Nancy smiles. “I can make it here,” I offer. “The coffee shop in town makes great coffee,” Augusta offers. “And owners who wanted their niece to be Luna,” Nancy adds. “Oh,” Augusta said, understanding. “But, if the pack finds out you don’t go there because of Cheryl, the pac
Rebecca’s POV “It’s Patty sweetheart, it’s Patty.” Ike coos, soothing me. I see him mind link and hear movement inside. Sam opens the door in a tee shirt and pants. Not his usual nighttime ensemble. “Patty wanted to stay after our date. I can’t say no to that little sister.” He opens the door and I see Patty asleep in his bed and a pallet built beside the bed. “She got scared in the guest room.” I softened seeing him be a good big brother. “I just wanted to say goodnight and I love you.” “I love you baby, see you two in the morning,” he kisses me sleepily. Ike and I go to his bedroom. I never really looked around his room before. There are two walls covered in books. I look at the bookshelves. Human histories, pack histories, other supernatural histories. I see the section on Lycans is extensive. “You fought in the battle of Lycaness didn’t you,” I look at him. He nods. “Did you or Sam get hurt?” “Yes, but we healed. Our jobs were to orb warriors in.
Rebecca’s POV We all settle in for lunch, Ike comes down last and I’m already between Nancy and Sam. “Nancy,” Ike said, narrowing his eyes at her. “Isaac,” Nancy said, narrowing her eyes back. “Are you challenging an Alpha?” Isaac asks. “Nope I’m challenging my best friend's mate,” Nancy didn’t look away. “You know you hurt her you hurt me, right?” I said, smirking. Ike gives up and sits across from me. I smile at him and rub my foot up his leg under the table. Ike- I love you, Luna. Me- I love you, Alpha. Sam- Is there a reason I’m on this mindlink? Ike- Don’t you have something to say to our Luna. Sam- Oh yeah, I love you baby. I giggle and bump Sam’s shoulder. We smile at each other. “So, since I pissed off one Alpha, may as well go for broke, why are you taking my best friend on a workout date?” Nancy asks. “Sam, you aren’t” Rona, a sister, yells. “That is so gross, Sam,” Beth, another sister, gives him mean look. “Sammy, you can do bet
Rebecca’s POV My date with Sam ended in a fight. Of course, it did! He wanted us to sleep in his room, I reminded him that he had sex with other shewolves in that bed and had promised me that he would not take me to somewhere he had been with others. I honestly have no interest in being in that room ever. We slept, just slept, in our bedroom alone. I hear his alarm go off. He wanted to show Isaac you can make love all night and still be to work on time. Sorry, I screwed that up. I whine, when he turns allowing the cold to replace my comfortable warmth. “I have work, baby,” he kisses my cheek. “I’m sorry, I’m so not the best mate right now.” “Rebecca, I love you. I promise to be the most faithful, the most loyal. You are my life. And I will spend every day proving to you that I am trustworthy.” “I’m sure once the PMS is over, I’ll feel better.” I say, kissing his cheek. “You have some long PMS! Horny as hell, moody, sick, I couldn’t be a fema
Max’s POV When I found out I had cause to deny DJ the Beta title I was overjoyed. My great-grandfather was a true believer in the moon goddess and her wisdom. Pack leaders, especially, were required to accept their true mates. The exceptions were if the mate rejected them for a chosen mate, if they impregnated another she-wolf (this had a whole different set of consequences), or if the mate's Alpha refused to release the mate to join our pack. For non-Pack Leaders there were these exceptions, plus if they had already mated and marked a chosen mate. Pack leaders were not allowed to take a chosen mate until one of the other exceptions had been fulfilled. This was pack law 101, but David was not the brightest crayon in the box, so it’s possible he is too dumb to realize how dumb he is. We left the clinic when my sister implied female issues. Yeah, not interested. “I hope she is getting birth control, she is too young for a pup, or worse two pups!” Dad shook his head. “Hey, you and mo
Rebecca’s POV “Can you not matelink when you are both on packlands?” I asked, very curious. “Chosen mates can’t do that.” She looked sad. I hugged her. She was missing so much. During the day, my Alphas would send me quick, private messages. Sam’s were mostly dirty, and I would blush. Ike’s were more sweet and cute. I can’t imagine living without those two in my head. While thinking about it, I absentmindedly pressed Sam’s mark and he orbs just behind me. “Rebecca, you okay?” Sam looked worried and scanned me for bruises. “Oh, sorry, Sam, I was thinking about something, and I must have hit my mark by accident.” I hugged him anyway. This must be the equivalent to Ass Dialing someone. Me-Did you know chosen mates can’t mindlink each other? I was thinking about how much I would miss you and Ike inside my head. Sam kissed the top of my head. Sam-Want to tell me what is going on? Me- Not yet, get out of here, before you start something the warriors will have to help finish. S
