4. Let's Get A Divorce

Jessica still hadn't left the hotel, and she was in one of the hotel rooms. However, the room was different from the one used for the photo shoot with actor Matt Habrew. It was indeed a different room because this room was booked in the name of Noah Brooks, and indeed the room had been used by her husband since yesterday.

Two days ago, her husband told her that he would be going on a business trip for two days and one night. The man left yesterday morning, and he should go back home in the afternoon today.

Jessica didn't ask the exact location of the business trip, but her husband just told her that he would be out of town for the trip. There was no suspicion at all in her heart. After all, her husband often went on business trips in the past, and that was why she didn't ask too much about his recent trips.

She expected to see her husband again today after the trip was over, but she didn't expect to see him sooner. She also didn't expect to meet this man at THIS hotel.

At this time, she was only with her husband in the room. Her husband was sitting on the messy bed, and she could also see her pink handbag on the bedside table not far from where the man was sitting.

However, her attention had not been on her husband or her bag since she entered the room. Instead, she paid more attention to how the room smelled of sex. She was no longer a virgin, and sex was nothing new to her. That was why she could easily recognize the unusual scent in the room. The room smelled of sperm, and her heart raced as she imagined what had happened in the room last night.

"I saw your cell phone in your bag. You should check whether it still works or not," her husband broke the silence in the room as his gaze shifted to the pink bag on the table.

Jessica glanced at the bag, but it was only for a moment before her gaze returned to her husband. "A broken cell phone can be repaired, but a broken heart is difficult to heal," she answered coldly.

At first, Noah didn't seem to dare look at his wife, but after hearing what his wife had just said, he finally looked up at the woman standing in front of him. "I'm sorry," he said.

"What are you sorry for?" With the same cold tone as before, Jessica asked her husband. "Are you sorry you broke my phone or broke my heart?"

"..." This time, Noah didn't answer immediately, he even looked away from the woman.

The room was enveloped in silence for a moment, but then Noah's deep voice came again, "His name is Tyler Edwards. He is my junior in college."

It was a sudden introduction, and even though it seemed vague, Jessica could guess who her husband was talking about. "I know some of your good friends, but I've never heard of that name before," she answered.

"That's because he's not actually my friend," Noah responded to her cold words. "At that time, I was assigned to help the freshmen on their new days on campus, and he was one of the juniors under my tutelage. For some reason, I became close to him quickly, and we were inseparable at that time. Not only did I help him a lot, but he also helped me a lot even though he was younger than me. In short, we relied on each other at that time."

Jessica could feel how an invisible hand that was clenching her heart exerted a stronger force on her heart, causing her to feel the pain in her chest even more. That was because she could guess the direction of her husband's story.

"We spent time together, we cared about each other, and in the end, we fell in love with each other," Noah continued, and Jessica almost cried when she heard the confession.

She had been with her husband for three years. It was true that the two of them knew each other from their parents, but Jessica was confident that she knew everything about her husband.

They dated for almost half a year before deciding to get married, and she always believed that that period was enough to know everything about the older man. They had known each other for almost four years, and Jessica believed her husband was a loyal man. He never paid attention to other women no matter how beautiful and sexy they were, and she felt relieved about that.

She didn't expect her husband to never pay attention to other women because he actually liked men.

"So, you never loved me?" This time, Jessica immediately asked the question, and her husband finally looked at her again.

Two pairs of eyes looked at each other while enveloped in silence, until finally, it was Noah who broke the contact while muttering, "I'm sorry."

It wasn't "yes" or "no" to answer her question, but for Jessica, the apology was enough to answer her curiosity. Her heart was officially broken, and she couldn't even hold back the tears that rolled down her cheeks.

"Let's get a divorce," she finally said the words she never wanted to say before, and she couldn't even look at her husband this time.

"WHAT?" Noah was shocked, he even got up from his sitting position. He stood right in front of his wife while using his large hands to grasp her shoulders. "We can't get a divorce, Jess! No matter what happens, we can't get a divorce!"

Hearing her husband's words, Jessica finally looked at him again, and she sneered as she pushed his big hands away from her shoulders. "Why not?" She asked coldly. "Why can't we get a divorce? Do you still need me, Mr. Brooks? Do you still need me to cover up your illicit relationship with your boyfriend?"
