3. The Arrogant Model

'What's going on here? Why is Noah also at this hotel? Wasn't he on a business trip yesterday?' A series of questions formed in Tammy's head after her eyes fell on the two men. One of them was quite familiar to her, while the other was not familiar at all.

Even Jessica's bitter and dark expression didn't escape her sharp gaze, and that only increased her curiosity. However, when she stopped looking back and once again looked towards the older woman, the older woman didn't say anything and just continued to tug at her wrist. Jessica didn't even look at her as she continued to drag her in a direction, but Tammy could still see the ugly expression on the old woman's face. That only added to the unspoken theories that were formed in her head.

However, Tammy ultimately didn't express her curiosity, and she just followed Jessica's lead to their destination as if her lips were glued and couldn't be opened to ask anything. 

"You really can't read the situation, Tammy Burner," came Jessica's voice, but it was clear she was holding back her anger. "How many times do I need to tell you that I only see those men as my models? They don't wear any labels that say 'Jessica's' on their foreheads, right? How could you even say that I would satisfy a man today?"

She talked about Tammy's words which restored Noah's confidence to counterattack her earlier. She worked as a photographer for a magazine, and she was at the hotel today for that very purpose. However, her assistant caused the misunderstanding, and that only added to her annoyance.

"I'm sorry. I won't joke like that again," Tammy timidly apologized, but she didn't get any response.

The two of them just continued walking. They didn't need to climb stairs or an elevator to reach the room where today's photo shoot would be held, and the room was actually not far from the pool area.

When Jessica arrived at the room with her assistant, everyone was ready in their respective positions in the room. Everything in the room was also ready, from reflectors, lighting equipment, the camera, the tripod, and also the monitor. Even the model was ready while irritably sitting on the edge of the bed with a phone in his hand. When he noticed someone approaching, he looked up before frowning.

"Don't you know that every second is precious to me? I can even buy you a new camera with just one minute of work, Mrs. Brooks," the model arrogantly scolded the photographer.

His name was Matt Habrew, and he was a top actor who got the spotlight in the past few years. The thirty-year-old man seemed to be in his prime, and perhaps that was caused by his perfect body that made people drool at his sexiness. That's why he was nicknamed "The Male God" or "The Adonis" by fans and the media.

However, Jessica didn't look at all amused after seeing the man's sexiness. Even if the man was currently only wearing a dark blue bathrobe and was not dressed properly, she was not tempted by him at all, and her thoughts were actually still on her husband.

"I'm sorry," Jessica uttered an apology, but she didn't seem sincere at all even though she slightly lowered her head while saying the words. "If you don't mind, we can start shooting now, and you won't have to waste any more of your precious time."

Jessica was able to control her annoyance when facing the younger man, and fortunately, the younger man didn't say anything to argue with her. He had barely gotten out of bed before taking off his bathrobe, and his assistant immediately took over the robe from him.

There was almost nothing under the bathrobe. The actor was only wearing his briefs, and he was getting ready on the bed for the photo shoot. Even if Jessica didn't like the actor's attitude, she still appreciated his willingness to cooperate, and that was why she motioned to her assistant to hand her the camera, and she immediately started doing her job.

Even though Jessica often felt annoyed by sudden schedule changes in her work, she loved her job with all her heart, and that's why she kept coming even though there were several schedule changes, including today's schedule.

As she always did, she gave her model some instructions for posing. To start, she asked her model to lie on his side and use his hand to support his head. She asked him to look directly at the camera with his piercing eyes, and luckily, the model was once again willing to cooperate.

Jessica didn't use a tripod and just held the camera with her hands. She placed the camera in front of her face before focusing her eye on the viewfinder. She tried to find the best angle to photograph her model, but then she was stunned when she once again saw the image of her husband kissing another man through the lens of her camera.

It was unexpected, and she suddenly moved the camera away from her face. At that moment, she once again saw the image of Matt Habrew on the bed, and she knew that the hurtful image was just her illusion.

"What's the problem?" The actor asked curiously, and there was a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Jessica knew that she had once again delayed the man's work, and she apologized once again before returning to work.

Deep inside, Jessica couldn't stop thinking about her husband and the man he kissed in the swimming pool. Sometimes, she would lose focus while doing work, and she would even need to shake her head to clear her thoughts.

Luckily, the job was done in two and a half hours, and Matt Habrew had left the hotel as well. The staff all prepared to leave the hotel, but Jessica stopped her assistant and said, "You all go back first. I have something else to do here."

Tammy blinked in confusion, but then she asked, "Are you going to talk to your husband, sis? Is he... cheating on you?"
