Bella’s Pov A grumble left me as I looked over at Lucas as he relaxed in the examination chair. He reached forward and tapped the monitor that was in front of him with ease. “I didn’t get my own monitor.” I mumbled to myself. I had someone that held any equipment that I had to touch and none of it looked like a computer screen. His test seemed to be longer than mine because we both started at the same time and he was still doing it even though I had been done awhile ago. My brows furrowed as I stared at him in confusion. “How do you know who I am?” I asked in suspicious. I moved his hand away from my chin as I stared at him with knitted brows that he ignored. He looked over and grabbed the little hand scanner that I had to do earlier and turned back towards me. My hand was grabbed and put on the scanner without him bothering to ask for permission. I decided to not bother yelling at him since he given me an opportunity to escape. After a couple of seconds the device dinged and showed a picture of me with my name on it. Two more security guards came forward instantly. They walked over towards the doctor with stern gazes. Bella’s Pov It felt like the life inside of me had been stolen as I recalled every event from the past few days. The darkness that I had been engulfed in had turned into a black hole as I put every piece of this horribly unfair puzzle together. “Let’s go.” The neuroscientist demanded as he yanked me forward causing me to lose my footing. A growl of frustration left me as I stared at Lucas’s test results refusing to look at my tablet screen. Lucas’s mind was perfectly intact. Every part of his brain was running to its full extent without any interference but that meant nothing if Bella was broken. How had I made such a huge mistake and not realized that someone had sabotaged Roberts work? I had been on top of everything but this and now Bella was hurting because of it. Had I known that Bella actually didn’t get her memories fully erased than I would’ve done things differently. One of them being having a fake brain scan for her. She would’ve gotten her Memories back by the time it was done and felt loved by her grandfather. Before I could run after it it disappeared causing me to furrow my brows. I looked around in search for it.
