Chapter One Hundred-Two

Aidan started walking around, searching for Sophie. As he wandered through the hospital, he caught a glimpse of Karina sobbing and embracing Zora. Recognizing her and noticing her other family members, he wondered aloud what they were doing there and why they looked so worried.

Phoebe approached, answering a call. Aidan thought of calling out to her to ask what was happening, but someone brushed past him hurriedly. It was Gina. She met up with Phoebe a few steps away.

"What happened?" Gina asked, her tone petrified.

"Sophie had an incident," Phoebe cried. "She probably fell down the stairs and is now in the ICU."

Gina gasped in astonishment. Overhearing their conversation, the package containing medicine slipped from Aidan's hand. He rushed toward them, pushing past them as he headed for Karina in a surge of panic.

"Karina!" he hollered, causing her to turn. As he reached her, he grabbed her arm. "What happened to Sophie?"
