Chapter sixty-two

Stirring the herbs in lukewarm water, Lola directed her gaze towards me as she heard a soft mumbling sound.

"Thank the goddess, you've finally woken." She breathed out, my head banged and staring around, everything felt strange. It was unlike her cabin, the herbs that used to be stacked up high on the rooftops were no longer there, and the room was spacious enough that it could accommodate a whole stack of her herbs for two seasons if not more.

"Where are we, what happened?" I questioned as I tried to sit on my derriere, she stared at me, her face twitched into a compelling smile, it could be akin to her profound gratitude.

"You've been down for more than two weeks now. He insisted we take you to the hospital but I made the call to treat you at home." She let out touching my temple with her hands.

"Who is that?" I asked curiously, Andrea's cabin was nothing similar to the place I was laying, not Ramanov, I pinched myself hard enough to have had a taint of crimson forming at the spot.
