Damon’s pov

It has been two months since I found her. I know I need to figure out the best way to approach her. I don’t want to scare her off.

“Clearly she hasn’t turned 18 yet or else her wolf would have appeared.” I am speaking more to myself but Greg feels obliged to chime in.

“Or boss, maybe she doesn’t have a wolf… maybe she isn’t one of us.”

“You think I don’t know my own mate?” I rage.

“That’s not what I am saying Dam and you know it. Sometimes the goddess picks others for us… you know, like that guy Stan who was mated to a vampire! A vamp of all things ugh.” Greg shivered in disgust.

“That may be so, but she has a wolf, zed could feel it.” I try to calm myself, I need to think.

“So what’s the plan then, we can’t sit here forever waiting for her to figure out who and what she is. For all we know that could be months or years from now….. I mean she looks 18 but who knows these days.” Greg is especially whiny today.
