Vera hopped off the lounge to find her bag.
In her bag was the recent book she had just brought.
She couldn’t wait to sit down and relax on the lounge and read.
Her bag was on the end of her bed.
So, she picked it up and before she sat back down, she poured herself another coffee.
Josh told his Boss that he would see the rest of what needed to be taken care of with the Monster.Luke agreed. He just wanted to see His Vera again.Luke told his friend that he was going to take Vera back home and that he could make his way home whenever he could.
The car ride back to their home town was mostly in silence.Vera mostly rested. They did speak about the children coming over to Vera’s place this afternoon.Luke was going to delay it until the night after. But Vera talked him into letting them still coming around.
Vera had a quiet lunch on her own in the café downstairs. She had a lot of things to think about. One of the things she knew for sure was that she definitely needed to find a home. She would like to before the baby was born. She wanted to be settled in, before the baby was born.
As soon as Vera stepped into her hotel room, she rushed into her bathroom. She made a bath as hot as she could take it and then slipped in.She felt relaxed straight away.Though she was still worried about tonight. All she knew was that she trusted Luke and she had to just go by that.. . .Luke, he couldn’t help being nervous too.He didn’t want to do the wrong thing and actually ruin their friendship. He loved their friendship. But he wanted to turn their friendship into a relationship. He knew there was a chance that she still wasn’t ready. But he was going to tell her tonight of his feelings. He wanted her to be with him.Always.He was longing for the commitment. He was longing for the, settling down and being a family and hopefully, they would grow as a family too.He knew
A waiter came soon after and asked what would they like as a drink.Luke went to order two coffees but Vera had to cut in and tell the waiter that she wanted a chocolate milkshake. This surprised Luke because not once has he seen Vera drink anything other than coffee. He wondered why?Because Luke knew how addicted she was to coffee. He didn’t think anything would change that with Vera.So when the waiter left, he turned to Vera and said.‘I haven’t seen you once without a coffee.’‘I had like a million before now, I think it’s giving me the jitters.’ Vera says. She had to think of something before she got here. Vera knew he would notice her not drinking coffee.Luke didn’t really believe her.Because jitters or not, he thought she would never stop drinking coffee. But, for now he let it go.‘I saw you rush to leave this afternoon.’ Luke tel
As Luke told Vera of his plans, he could see that she was getting nervous and more nervous.Though, he liked how she tried to show that she was trusting Luke. And that’s all that mattered. He had tried hard to get Vera to trust him.And so, just aft Luke finished telling Vera what he had planned, the waiter came with their orders.Vera couldn’t wait to eat.Luke was hungry too because he was nervous also.He has never been so nervous before. They ate with small talk. But when they finished eating, Luke was quick to speak.‘Tell me something that I don’t know about you, Vera.’ He spoke and looked at her intensely. This took Vera back a bit. There really wasn’t anything else to know about herself.Well, except that she was pregnant. But Vera didn’t want to tell him.She didn’t want to speak it out loud because then she would be accepting it.
It didn’t take long to reach the beach.Just two streets and they were there. The bodyguards stayed on the bank. The four of them spread out and scouted the area around the areas around Luke and Vera. They were ready to strike, if they needed.Vera thought it looked beautiful. The way the wave, miles away in the distance, crashed against the shore. The way the stars were painted in the sky.She even forgot that it was dark.As Luke was walking, he watched Vera from the corner of his eye.He thought she looked so beautiful. The way she looked up at the sky and admired the stars. The way the stars shined on her face, enlightened her beauty. There was a rug waiting and on the rug was a single red, red rose and some kind of picnic basket. This made Vera emotional. She thought it was beautiful. And no one has ever done anything like this for her.She thought Luke w
Luke and Vera laid there in silence as they watched the stars.Luke was just soaking it up how it felt to have Vera pressed up against his side.He thought it felt magical.Nothing could beat this moment.Nothing could ruin this moment.Luke was going to remember this moment for the rest of his life.Vera was that comfortable that she felt herself falling asleep. She never dreamed of laying next to a guy. After what happened to Vera, she thought she wouldn’t be able to get close to a guy before. But Luke, he didn’t play very fair.He wouldn’t leave her alone until she trusted him.Even with trusting Luke, she still couldn’t imagine lying next to a man.Though the sudden shrill of Luke’s phone frightened Vera, making her swiftly sit up and scoot over a slight bit.She looked over to Luke to see him frowning.Vera wondered was it because of her reaction.
