Chapter one hundred and sixty two

Zach’s POV

The old man approached me with a smile on his face.

"This grove is a sacred space," he explained, his voice carrying a soothing tone. "It is where our pack members come to reconnect with the essence of who they are and find inner peace. We believe that true strength comes not just from physical prowess, but from the balance of mind, body, and spirit."

All I could do was nod and look around while he kept on explaining.

“You do have one of these in your pack don’t you?” I nodded when he asked as he continued. “Don’t pray, boy?”

That was a question I could not answer.

"In order to lead others effectively," the wise wolf continued, "we must first know ourselves. We must be attuned to our instincts, our strengths, and our weaknesses. Only then can we guide our pack with clarity and purpose. We need the guidance of those who has come before us and the gods who preside over us."

I found myself deeply moved by his words.
