We rushed home like possessed men, our hearts beating from both fear and the race we had down to our car. Instead of taking the elevator like we always did, Mike said it would delay us, so we ended up running down the stairs at the speed of lighting.

Miles drove, and Mike sat next to him in the passenger's position. I was the only one sitting at the back, our thoughts all on our mate. The moment he drove into our compound and killed the engine, we jumped out of the car and raced for the door.

“My Alphas!” Helen met us by the door. She was standing by the side of the house, but we failed to see her because our focus was on the door and nothing else.

“Get out!” We growled at her, stepping to the door. I unlocked it with my thumb, frowning when I noticed the imprint of a hand on the handle. That wasn't caused by us, so there was no freaking way it could be there if someone weren't in the building.
