Half the truth

None of my brothers wished to stay back. They thought she was bluffing and only wanted to spend time with us. It took a lot of convincing before they agreed to stick around with me. And when she locked us up in the bathroom, they almost broke down the door, thinking she wanted to do something disastrous.

“Chill! Summer must have her reasons. Do you think she would shut us up if she wished to harm us? She could do that effortlessly without going to such an extreme.”

And that shut them up. They knew I was telling the truth. Had Summer ever wished to hurt us, she wouldn't need to lock us up to do that. She had enough power in her hands. Despite what happened between us, we still loved her too much to let her go.

Had it been someone else, we would have sent them out of the house. The only reason my brothers weren't kind to her was the thoughts of her betrayal. Having another of our mates cheat on us made us seem incompetent.
