Nodding, I walked over to the closet and got my dresses out, throwing them on the bed. I stuffed the dresses in there this morning, to make everything believable enough for her.

“Do you think I should leave?” I posed the question, acting like I wasn't paying any attention to her reply when I was.

“That's the only solution to this. To be happy, let go of every toxicity, and they are one. Just leave for a human city. It wouldn't be difficult for you to live there, seeing you are human.”

“That's true!” I nodded. “I have a business to take care of. I shouldn't be bothered about them. But…”

“Why are you still reluctant? Don't tell me you still care about them after their accusations? Girl! You've got to wake up. They don't love you!”
