She's dead

“What was she trying to convey?” Fred demanded, looking towards me.

I couldn't answer him as tears streamed down my eyes. Watching her die made it seem like they ripped something from me. I could only watch her lifeless body doing nothing. I was as helpless as she was, and could only watch her draw her last breath.

“Luna?”

Blinking, I turned to look at him, frowning. “What's wrong?”

“What did she gesture before she died?” His tone sounded urgent. More like he needed to know what she told me.

“Will that help your case?” I frowned at him, not replying to his questions, but wondering his reasons for asking me that. Why does he sound as if he had to learn what she told me about?

Sighing, he returned to what he was doing, this time, hasty in his actions. He wasn't as sluggish as he was when Nelly was still alive. I couldn't pinpoint why I had speculated about his activities, but I did. Wondering if, like Pascal, Fred wanted her dead?
