Chapter 61

Ryder’s point of view:

We were on our way back from puppy world.

It was hard to select a puppy from all the different ones the old lady at puppy world had shown us.

Michael might kill me if I got more than a puppy, so, I had to settle with only one, a purebred golden retriever.  

The drive back home was quiet. It was not as chaotic as it had been on our way to puppy world. Jake had been so talkative that by the time, we reached puppy world, I felt a slight headache.

Only some adorable quiet squeaks filled the silence in the car.

I glanced in the rearview mirror to find the puppy shifting slightly in excitement. I had positioned the crate well so that it wouldn’t bulge while I drive.

Jake was upset. He wanted to sit back with the puppy.
