Chapter 40

Brittany’s heart was beating so fast you would think it was about to explode. She dashed out of the cab the moment she arrived at Cole’s villa, she was in tears without even realizing it. Lora paid for the ride and followed her friend who was walking haggardly to the entrance of the villa. When she got to the entrance she was denied access.

“Mr. Williams has specifically ordered us not to let you in,” one guard told her.

“You must be joking, where was I supposed to go when he took all my stuff away?” Ranted angrily and tried storming in but the guards grabbed her and threw her outside. She fell and hurt her knees but the emotional turmoil she was going through couldn’t compare to the pain that emitted from her bruised knee.

She got back on her and tried forcing her way in but was pushed away again.

“Bre! Let’s just go!” Lora cried. She couldn’t bear to see her friend being humiliated in that manner.
