Chapter 47

A little after midnight Lora closed the bar and got in a taxi headed for Brittany’s residence. She took a spare key so she doesn’t wake her friend up.

She opened the door and stepped in looking around, Brittany wasn’t in the living room sleeping on the couch like she had done for the past three weeks. She tiptoed to the bedroom to find it empty too, she checked the washroom, then the kitchen and then the storeroom, then finally the balcony. She walked back to the bedroom and noticed the sticky note on the dressing mirror.

She tried calling her friend but the number was off.

“Bre!” She screamed and then stopped it was still dawn she couldn’t wake her neighbors up.

She took a look at the note which read [please get me a tenant who is willing to stay for two months and let them send the money to my bank account… love
