Lucian's POV

We finally got to where the car was packed, and I placed her in the back seat of the car with Mary, who looked like she tried to mask the pain she felt.

“Are you alright?” I asked her often until we got to the hospital, and once I came out, I saw nurses running to my aid with stretcher beds.

They helped Mary, and Kira who was still unconscious to get on the stretcher beds before rolling them away.

I followed for a while to know the room, they were in. I stood out there, and continued blaming myself. Seeing Mary in that condition made me recall her words.

“Don't let history repeat itself.”

I sighed, keeping my worried wolf at bay. He didn't want to leave, but I wanted to go see how my baby, and Mia, were doing.

Dragging my foot away from the place with a strong look on my face.

I wanted to see Mia, she was the one who mattered to me.

I got to the door, but was shocked to hear her talking to someone. I was at the other side of the door, and I leaned in to hear
