Lucian's pov.

I felt so bad about what was happening, and I was trying my best to make sure that things would be the same as they were supposed to be.

I was just scared. I didn't know if I had lost Kira, but I was sure that she was mad at me.

Kira had been coming to my door for the past two days, knocking for me to open up, but each time she did, I pushed away.

My past was playing before my eyes, and I was worried about her coming into the whole thing. I didn't know what else I could do because at this point, I was confused.

I sat in my room like someone who was lonely. Mary also tried talking to me through the mind link, but I wasn't comfortable with it.

I blocked her out of my head to on focus on thinking about what I should do next. My life was a mess, and if I continued like this I will never have an heir to take over the pack.

I would have loved for Mary's seed to continue the legacy of the pack but then she was not able to bear a child because her mate wasn't around.
