Back to the Present

Ember's POV

"I think she's entering into labor!" Was the last thing that I heard before blacking out. I fell into a zen state. It was almost as though I was floating in the air and waiting for the pin to drop.

Sadly it didn't, so I enjoyed the cool breeze that blew through my skin. All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain that went straight to my head. Color me surprised but my eyes flew open immediately. I was shocked to see a few people walking around. My vision, hazy and fluttery. I almost felt as though I couldn't see properly.

Someone stared at me and blinked again. " She's awake. Didn't you give her the right dosage of anesthesia?" The female voice inquired and I was a bit tired of the way they were screaming. In my head I was like, can someone just let me breathe without making me feel like I have done something wrong?

I couldn't move any part of my body, nor scream to let out the pain that I felt. It was excruciating and I felt my bones aching. "Get me a shot! She needs to sleep.
