Ember's POV

I didn't know how hard it would be to be able to reach Xander? It was not going as well as it ought to even with the way I tried to send Sonia to get through to him. "You don't mean that he is not reachable. I mean, someone would have been able to reach him right?"

"But no one was able to reach him, he just went off the radar." Sonia replied.

Panic filled my heart as I stared at her. She didn't know why I was interested in getting to see him but she just found it hard to ask which I respected because I wasn't about to share anything with her.

Trent walked in and I sat up straighter. "Where are the kids?"

"Oh, they are in the hospital, I'm going to return soon. They are about to take their shots, you know how it can be."

"I understand, but I don't really understand either. Is there any reason that I should be worried?"

I shook my head, not wanting him to suspect a thing. It wasn't going to end up well but I didn't want that to happen.

"I don't know, the doctor says tha
