Mum's the Word

Ember's POV

I ran straight to the room where the kids were kept. Trent had offered to follow me but I said no. I didn't want any bodyguard right now. The only thing I wanted was to be able to close my eyes and sleep as much as I could. My kids were in the infirmary.

My phone buzzed. It was definitely from Trent. I had threatened not to go back to the Pack before he was finally able to let me go. He still waited till I got a cab that took me there. I returned in one piece staring at the kids who were lying down on the mini couch.

"Doctor, what happened to them?" Inquired.

"Oh, nothing much. It's just that I would have to see you in my office."

I glanced at the sleeping Sonia. She must have been worn out when she heard the news. Going from not sleeping to watching over kids was definitely not an easy feat.

Sue stirred and finally woke up. "I thought that you weren't here already. Sorry I didn't call you. My phone was faulty, ma'am..." She let out a yawn which drowned the rest of her co
