When I woke, I was in a hospital bed and in a daze. It took me a few beats to remember what happened. I looked around the room and saw tony standing there staring out the window.

“Tony?” He swiftly turned and came over to me. He grabbed my hand entangling his fingers with mine. He gave me a fuzzy feeling deep in the pit of my stomach. “Oh, thank God you are okay Tash. I am so sorry I was not quick enough to stop that man from hitting you. I subdued him and called Kyle. He sent someone posing as a cop to get him. He took him to the shed behind the cabin.”
