I felt a sharp pain on my neck the minute I felt the sun on my face. I let out a soft groan and sat up, trying so hard to wonder why I was in such pain.

I tried to recall what might had happened the previous night, but my memories seemed to be quite foggy.

Just then, I saw James, laying beside me. He had a slight cut running deep into his cheek. His legs were bruised and his arms had a deep cut running through it.

My eyes darted to another angle and I saw Claire laying there, looking quite lifeless.

I jerked up at that point and ran over to her, trying so hard to keep my feet steady since I had no idea of what had happened.

When I caught sight of James, I had thought that we had a fight because that was quite usual. We hated each other to the core and it wasn’t surprising if we got into a fight the previous night, even if I didn’t remember.
