Chapter 8: The Chase

It was so fun teasing my mate. She would get red and all, and her eyes showed so much emotion every time I went near her. I didn’t plan on teasing her so much, but she insisted that she wasn’t my mate when she clearly was.

My wolf, Shadow, practically started shouting in my mind, telling me that the girl in front of me was my mate when I first saw her. There’s no denying that we’re mates, especially when our skin made contact with each other. I felt like a thousand bolts had just flown down my body. 

I moved closer and closer to her, leading us to go into the house. Her back was against the brick wall, and she was glaring up at me. Even now, I find her adorable.

“Happy now? What the hell do you want from me?” She said, her voice sending chills down my spine.

I smiled. “I’m very happy. There’s nothing that I want from you because it’s YOU that I want,” I said in a deep voice
