Chapter 41

Renae's POV

My eyes fluttered, and reluctantly, I flipped them open. It was all dark around me and at first, I couldn't see anything. I did not know what the time was but I knew It was night and I was alive, not in the afterlife. Possibly, my eyes were still adjusting.

Slowly the darkness became hazy and my sight became clear. I realized I was lying on a bed in a tiny room- it wasn't really spacious.

From the bed, I scanned the room. But I felt dizzy instantly, I think I was taking things too fast. I shut my eyes and when I opened them again, I rolled them slowly as I scanned the room.

It was an unfamiliar room. The tiny spark of light that illuminated the room was from an oil lamp that was almost dying out.

I had woken up to meet myself in a strange room before. Although this was a different room and a different setup. Deja Vu ran down my spine and I felt exactly the same way I had felt when Jennifer captured me to tap my pheromones.
