Ariella's Pov

The smile I had slowly left as I looked at everyone's pale faces. The way they all frowned at my idea had me narrowing my eyes.

"So you don't want to be loyal?" I asked lowly. Maverick agreed that it was a great idea so I don't get what the problem was if he was willing.

"Of course we do but you have to understand that it's hard." Klaudia rushed out with desperation.

I pressed my lips as I stared in her eyes that held so much fear in them. She had stayed by my side until I went on the path of fate never questioning anything I did but now all she did was question me.

"What's so hard about showing your loyalty?" I asked lowly. She clearly didn't trust Maverick and it showed with every word and facial expression she made.

"I umm, it's just that." Pain shined in her eyes telling me the bond stopped her from talking.

"You want me to break up with Maverick and go back to Alexander?" I asked lowly. The way her eyes glossed over had me gritting my teeth.
